American Diagnostic Corporation names Steve Kelly VP of sales
Steve Kelly was named VP of sales for American Diagnostic Corporation (ADC) (Hauppauge, N.Y.). In addition to his new responsibilities, Kelly will continue to oversee the ADC national sales force and continue to maintain and build solid relationships with ADC’s customer base. Kelly has worked at ADC for 15 years and been instrumental in the growth and expansion of the ADC product line in the U.S. Prior to joining ADC, Kelly served as director of corporate accounts for Cottrell Ltd (Englewood, Colo).
Cardinal Health Specialty Solutions acquires Sonexus Health
Cardinal Health Specialty Solutions, a division of Cardinal Health (Dublin, Ohio), completed its acquisition of privately held Sonexus Health (Dallas, Texas) which offers a broad range of patient access and specialty commercialization services. The acquisition enables Cardinal Health Specialty Solutions to help its clients address the need for orphan and ultra-orphan drugs to be safely distributed with limited barriers to access and help payors ensure they are used appropriately. Cardinal Health Specialty Solutions clients will now have access to Sonexus Health's patient services “hub,” which serves as a patient and physician practice support center. Cardinal Health Specialty Solutions clients will also have access to expanded third-party logistics services, enabling them to send higher volumes of smaller parcel shipments directly to physician offices, clinics, and hospitals
Medline to open new distribution center in Lincoln County, NC
Medline Industries Inc (Mundelein, Ill.) will open a new distribution center in Lincoln County, NC in early 2015. The company expects to begin construction on the $18 million, 400,000-sq-ft facility this spring. The distribution center will be constructed with energy-efficient technology and undergo LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) certification review. The new distribution center will be located at the Lincoln County Industrial Park and, according to the company, will initially create approximately 40 new jobs for the area.
Midmark recognizes top sales performers at annual national sales meeting
Midmark Corporation’s sales representatives and managers from its medical, dental and animal health divisions recently gathered in Orlando, Fla., for an annual national sales meeting to recognize the team’s achievements, share industry trends and discuss new solutions for customer needs. The following awards were presented to Midmark’s top medical division representatives for 2013:
• Ryan Hahn – Award of Excellence, Top Sales Representative of the Year
• Mike Kuna – Award of Excellence, Top Regional Manager of the Year
• Ryan Hahn – Medical Sales Representative of the Year
• Kurt Badstubner – Diagnostics Sales Representative of the Year
• Spencer Davenport – Casework Sales Representative of the Year
Awards for top sales during promotions were given to:
• Faith McKinney – Midmark Diagnostics IQvitals® promotion
• Jeff Montague – Midmark Barrier-Free® promotion
• Chip Robinson and Kurt Badstubner – Midmark Diagnostics promotion
• Keith Parsons – Ritter Sterilizer promotion
• Jeff Rogers – Midmark Procedures Table promotion
In addition, the sales team assembled 700 Caregiver Kits through Midmark’s partnership with World Vision, a Christian humanitarian organization. Comprised of basic health items, the kits will be sent to Zambia to assist caregivers of communities suffering from HIV and AIDS.
