Welch Allyn Connectivity Web site
Welch Allyn introduced an online tool designed to educate doctors on the benefits of connectivity. The new Web site (www.welchallyn.com/wafor/connectivity/cp-default.htm) is designed to provide healthcare facilities with the resources they need to understand the importance of device connectivity and explain the financial and clinical benefits they can realize from being a connected practice. Connectivity is the electronic exchange of diagnostic test data between devices and an electronic health record (EHRs), creating an efficient way to send results directly into the patient record without error while saving time for heathcare workers. Connectivity ensures patient information is up to date, making it easier for doctors to treat patients more effectively and thus improving workflow. The goal of the Welch Allyn “Connected Practice” resource center Web site is to provide customers with all the answers they need about the benefits of device connectivity and to introduce them to products that can put those benefits into practice. The site includes customer case studies, brochures and Return on Investment (ROI) calculators. It also includes information about the new Welch Allyn EHR Selection Services program that prepares physicians for the significant changes that occur with the introduction of an electronic health record. Physicians can also sign up to receive a free quarterly newsletter, Physician Insider, which offers tips associated with connectivity and more.
