Farragher Named Director of Marketing and Operations at LifeSign

Mike Farragher has accepted the position of director of marketing and operations at LifeSign, a medical diagnostic company specializing in point-of-care testing products used by healthcare professionals in hospitals, physician offices and occupational health centers, as well as consumers in the over-the-counter market. Prior to joining LifeSign, Farragher was the Northeast region director of sales for Cardinal Health’s Scientific Products division.

Fundora Joins Fine Surgical Instruments Inc.

Fine Surgical Instruments recently announced the ap-pointment of Orestes (Orry) I. Fundora to the newly created position of vice president of sales and marketing. In this new position, Fundora will be in charge of all sales and marketing efforts for Fine Surgical Instruments. He will be responsible for enhancing current relationships, and researching and developing new market opportunities, including various promotional programs.

According to President Akram Mirza, “Orry brings to our company over 20 years of experience in the surgical instrument field. He has held various executive positions with Miltex Instrument Company and is well-versed in all aspects of our business.”

Burton Medical Products Announces 2002 Top Sales Reps

Chatsworth, Calif.-based Burton Medical Products recently announced its Top Sales Reps for 2002. At Burton’s National Sales Meeting in Chicago, Ben Binegar of Florida was named the top O.R. Light Represen-tative, and Bill Maskrey of Illinois was named the top Core Light Sales Representative.

“Both Ben and Bill created significant opportunities, using creativity, service and reliable follow-up to make sure both dealer reps and their customers received the best product and after-market support,” according to Burton Medical Products Sales Manager Yasaman Radmehr.

Two Promos for Dealer Reps from Burton Medical Products

Burton Medical Products is running two promos for dealer reps with “automatic” cash winnings. The first promo features lottery tickets worth $15 to $500 per Outpatient II sold. The second promo offers $100 per qualifying O.R. light lead (Burton’s O.R. lights include the Visionary, Genie/Genesis Series and XenaLux fiber optic light).

Both of these cash give-away spiffs run for 2003 – in its entirety – and are offered in addition to Burton’s incentive program included in the multi-sponsored Dream Team Xtreme 2003 promotion.

NCI Appoints Healthcare Services Senior Vice President

NCI, a healthcare consulting company specializing in supply chain management, information technology and professional education, has appointed Joe Colonna, a healthcare professional with more than 18 years of experience in supply chain management and group purchasing, to the position of senior vice president of healthcare services. The appointment is effective May 1, 2003.

Colonna’s responsibilities at NCI will include expanding the company’s client portfolio, and managing NCI’s consulting services and its supplier clients.

Med Tech Associates Names Snedden Rep of the Year

Med Tech Associates, headquartered in Idaho Springs, Colo., named Dennis Snedden as their sales rep of the year. Snedden received the award at Med Tech’s 18th annual meeting that was held at the Pointe South Mountain Resort in Phoenix, on March 24-28. Snedden covers the Northwest and is based in Seattle Washington.

“Dennis had a tremendous year and was consistently a top performer for all of the product lines we represent,” said Bill Sparks, president of Med Tech. “In addition, he has stepped into a leadership role for the company and was a mentor to many of our newer sales reps.”
