Cahill Named Executive
Vice President and Chief Financial Officer for
Kevin Cahill was recently appointed executive vice president and chief financial officer of Skaneateles Falls, N.Y.-based Welch Allyn Inc., one of the world’s leading manufacturers of innovative medical diagnostic equipment, patient monitoring systems, miniature precision lamps and industrial inspection equipment.
Since joining the company in 1989, Cahill has held positions of increasing responsibility in business and financial disciplines. Cahill’s new responsibilities include oversight of the corporate legal and quality/regulatory functions, and the Lighting Products business group. Cahill retains his responsibilities for leading Welch Allyn’s worldwide financial and information technology functions, while also serving as chairman of Welch Allyn’s industrial remote inspection business, Everest VIT.
Mangicaro Named Marketing Manager, Integrated Workstations for Welch Allyn
Jay Mangicaro was recently named marketing manager, integrated workstations at Welch Allyn.
In his new position, Mangicaro will work with product managers and business unit leaders to develop and execute marketing programs and new business strategies. His primary focus will be to market software interfaces that enable the integration of digitized data forms captured from Welch Allyn medical devices into Electronic Medical Records. He will also market related healthcare information products in the alternate and acute care markets.
Mangicaro comes to Welch Allyn with more than 20 years of experience in the healthcare industry, most recently with Care Science Inc. He has experience in healthcare information business develop and Startups.
Wells Named Medical Division Director of Marketing for Midmark
Formerly the product manager for the medical division of Midmark Corporation, Jon Wells recently has been named director of marketing.
In his new role, Wells will create and implement marketing programs for the medical products division. He will be responsible for all activities within this market, as well as for driving product and strategy development. In addition, he’ll be responsible for building a team of marketing professionals who will champion the Midmark product lines and continue to build enviable market share positions.
Wells has been in the healthcare industry for 12 years holding titles in sales, project management, product management and market management. He has worked on many of Midmark’s product lines, including exam tables, casework and sterilizers.
Benda Joins Davco Resources as Executive Recruiter
Davco Resources announces the addition of Terry A. Reno Benda to their team of executive healthcare recruiters. Benda will be responsible for assisting manufacturers, distributors and service providers to fill sales, marketing and support function positions. Benda has 20 years experience in sales and sales management. She will work to reinforce Davco’s commitment to physician markets and develop home care and long-term care markets.
Benda brings the skills necessary for a top quality recruiter capable of providing “impact players.” She’s built and sustained long-term relationships with vendors and buyers, and is tenured in medical and supply chain logistics. Benda is well known for her integrity, commitment to customer satisfaction, work ethic and interpersonal skills.
Benda most recently served as Cardinal Health’s Care Continuum Regional Sales Manager based out of Annapolis, Md. Benda sustained employment and success, despite three acquisitions beginning with Southeastern Hospital Supply, Durr Medical, Bergen Brunswig and finally Cardinal Health.
