Med Tech Associates (MTA), headquartered in Idaho Springs, CO, held its 17th annual meeting April 1-4 at the spectacular Venetian Hotel in Las Vegas, Nevada. The independent manufactures representative agency had all 22 members of its sales force, along with its management team, present for the meeting. Joining the MTA crew were representatives from Med Tech's physician and hospital products manufacturers.

MTA president, Bill Sparks, announced record sales for the company for the prior fiscal year. Sparks also detailed the geographical growth of the company which now covers approximately 80% of the country. In January, Heath & Associates became part of MTA and completed the company's sales coverage in IN, OH and KY. Sparks also outlined the company's plans to complete nationwide sales coverage over the next year.

Terry Kelly (North Carolina) was named the company's Rep of the Year. Dennis Snedden (Washington) was given an award for Highest Sales Volume. Also honored at the meeting were Mark Richter (Colorado) and Mark Hughes (Georgia) for Largest Sales Increase. George Koutures (Southern California) and Jerry Lottmann (Illinois) were winners of the MTA Way Award.

MTA sales reps, along with representatives from individual manufacturers, all participated in a sales training program conducted by Scott Fanning of 95% Share Marketing. The innovative approach and structure of 95% Shares' sales philosophy was enthusiastically received by everyone. Social activities for everyone included night golfing, Mini Grand Prix road racing and a Vegas classic show…Mystere!

An April date for the company's annual meeting in 2003 was announced. A site for the meeting has yet to be decided.
