Hermitage Hospital Products Hires Nick Sims
Hermitage Hospital Products announce the hiring of Nick Sims as Mid-West Region Manager. Nick comes to Hermitage from Leica Microsystems, where he was Regional Sales Manager for the Education and Analytical Group. Prior to that, he held sales management positions with industry leaders Maxxim Medical, Baxter Healthcare and Curtin Matheson Scientific.
Sims, who joined Hermitage effective January 1, 2002, completes the direct Sales Management Team appointed by Jeff Speicher, V.P., Sales and Marketing. He joins Wayne Shen, East Cost Region Manager, and bill Baker, West Coast Region Manager. Chris Brooks, Director of Corporate Accounts for the past eight years, will be also responsible for development of the company's OEM capabilities.
Vanguard Medical Concepts, Inc. Taps New Executive Vice President of Sales and Marketing.
Vanguard Medical Concepts, Inc., has appointed McNeil Mac Brown as executive vice president of sales and marketing. Brown brings to Vanguard nearly two decades of experience in both the manufacturing and distribution sides of the health care products and services industry. As executive vice president of sales and marketing, he will oversee Vanguard's effort to expand the company's sales base and coverage area.
Before joining Vanguard, Brown served as Southeast Regional Director for Allegiance Healthcare, where he was responsible for the planning, sales and operational base for the company's $250 million Florida market. Previously, he was a systems manager and sales representative with the American Hospital Supply Corp., where he was the top sales representative for three consecutive years. He earned his bachelor's degree in biology from Morehouse College in Atlanta.
According to Chuck Masek, Vanguard's president and chief executive officer, Mac sees the tremendous impact and growth opportunities the recent FDA guidelines have opened up for the reprocessing industry. Mac's leadership will be instrumental to Vanguard as we look to maintain our leadership position and significantly increase our distribution channels.
